Destination fit for a King
When you're royalty with every exotic destination at your
fingertips, where do you go for a bit of rest & relaxation?
The King and Queen of Norway visited the Changi clubhouse
on 30 October for a jaunt on the keelboat Magic Dragon II.
The royal couple arrived with their entourage in the early
afternoon – as it was a purely recreational visit, the media
was kept at bay and there was minimal fuss surrounding them.
They were free to enjoy themselves, to just soak up the languid
atmosphere of the club. Mr Ng Ser Miang, an honorary member
of the Club as well as the Ambassador to Norway and Hungary,
played host.
Watching them sail off into the balmy afternoon, you realize
that pleasure is a universal feeling – whether you’re a king
or a pauper, the feeling of floating on the water, powered
only by your sail… is undeniable bliss!
