Straits X'ing
Singapore Management University (SMU) held their event, christened
S'pore Straits X'ing, at the Changi clubhouse on the 18th September
2004.
A unique student initiative organised by SMU's Outdoor Club,
the event saw a group of students, faculty, staff and volunteers
swim and kayak together across 17km of water from Batam to Singapore.
A bustly carnival greeted all at the clubhouse - there were
banana boat & jet ski rides, and try-outs at sailing.
