Fishing Competition
Held in conjunction with SAFYC’s 40th Anniversary Celebrations

Yet another record was set in the Club’s on-shore fishing event history.The competition held on 2 June 2007 saw a whopping 50 anglers stationed along the breakwater with their fishing rods waiting patiently for their catch to bite. A mystery catch category was only announced in the morning to spice up the event even more. Mr Sim Eng Hock was the lucky winner of the mystery bonus prize by being the first one to catch a puffer fish early into the competition, winning for himself a two-day sport fishing charter at Pulau Redang worth $2,000 sponsored by Deutzia Nautical.
