Mahjong Competition
Held in conjunction with SAFYC’s 40th Anniversary Celebrations

“The more the merrier”, the saying goes. And the SAFYC 40th Anniversary mahjong competition proved that point on 3 June (Sunday), where 128 mahjong enthusiasts came together in the joyously rowdy Straits View Restaurant. All of them were ready to pit their skills, sharpen their tactics, and not forgetting, to try their luck for the attractive prizes up for grabs that day.
The top three winners got to walk away with cash prizes of up to $800. Undaunted by the mahjong experts present, many of our mahjong competition regulars turned up to show their support for the event.

Accompanied by good food and drinks, the mahjong players played to their hearts’ fill from 11am to 6pm. Guest-of-Honour, Mr Tommy Tan, Hon. Secretary Chairman, Social & Recreation Committee, handed out the prizes to the following mahjong winners:
