NUS Society - SAF Yacht Club Open House
27 & 28 August 2005

A two-day sea sports fiesta was held at the Changi Clubhouse in conjunction with the NUS Society. Offering rides on catamarans, power boats, banana boats, jet skis and dinghies, the two days were characterized by splashing good fun on a scale rarely seen anywhere else!

Serving as a way of introducing sea sports to members of the NUS Society, both clubs also took the chance to launch reciprocal trial memberships, exclusive to members of both clubs.

The two days were punctuated by a reggae-themed waterfront buffet on Saturday night. Roasted lamb, barbequed chicken wings and assam pedas stingray were some of the tempting dishes on offer. Interestingly, red-yellow-green vodka jello shots made by John Heng, our very own staff, tickled the taste buds of many. Stronger than they looked, it left many unwittingly tipsy! Powered on by reggae music, the crowd soaked up the atmosphere as dining extended to the marina breakwater with tiki torches lighting the way.

*The SAF Yacht Club would like to thank the NUS Society for their contribution towards this event.

Fire dancing enthralled the crowd.

Vodka jello shots given the reggae treatment!

Reggae ruled the night…
The buffet of sea sports available ranged from banana boats & jet skis to rides on luxurious sail crafts.

The carnival at the club had food stalls & shopping to keep land babies occupied.
