Horsburgh Challenge
SAFYC's signature event of the year, the Horsburgh Challenge is also a major keelboat event in the SAF Yacht Club calendar. The most challenging and exciting keelboat event in Singapore is organized by the SAF Yacht Club and sanctioned by the Singapore Sailing Federation (SSF).

The race is held in full-blown North East Monsoon conditions with 4 classes. The Challenge would be made up of two passage races - one to the vicinity of the Horsburgh Lighthouse at the Eastern entrance to the Singapore Straits, and the other down to popular East Coast Park, and the windward /leeward races just off the waters of the SAF Yacht Club Clubhouse.
SAFYC Optimist Championship
Pit yourself against other Optimist sailors across the country and clinch the top spot! Sailing in the waters off the Singapore Straits, this race promises a whole different experience for sailors, especially those who have sailed in stronger winds and tidal conditions.
SAFYC Regatta (Dinghy & Optimist)
Sponsored by Singapore Technologies Marine Pte Ltd, the SAFYC Regatta is a highly participated regatta with over 300 entries expected for the Optimist, Laser and Byte classes. Sailors hoping to increase their standing should take part in this sailing competition as it is a SSF-sanctioned national ranking regatta.
Sing-Siam Regatta
The SingSiam Regatta is an annual sailing event for SAF Yacht Club sailors to renew friendship with members of the Royal Thai Navy in a friendly sailing competition. The competition will be held at either country every alternate year.
StarHub Singapore Laser Open & SAFYC Byte Championship
The StarHub Singapore Laser Open & SAFYC Byte Championship is a 3 days national ranking regatta, conducted at the National Service Resort Country Club (NSRCC). It is a highly anticipated national ranking regatta. Having this regatta during the opening monsoon season will push sailors to their limit.

RSN Medal Race
MR is organized on every last Sunday of the month at Sembawang Clubhouse. This race is an exposure to new sailors to learn more about fundamental of racing. Veteran sailors may also take a day off to enjoy themselves over the weekend for this race.
Bi-Monthly Trophy Race
A race that will be held bi-monthly for our club keel boater to foster better spirit of friendly good fellowship. It’s a 6 series races which include fleet and passage races that is held at the Sembawang Clubhouse. A total point will be accumulated for all the 6 series to determine the champion for the year.
